Research Interests My research activities cover wireless networking in general, with specific conerns on design, analysis and optimization for wireless networks. Currently I am interested in the following aspects 4G technologies (Relay-Enabled Cooperative Communications, Cognitive Radios) Cross-layer (PHY-MAC-LINK) design for wireless Networks   Intelligent Transportation Systems: rapid and reliable inter-vehicle communications (IVC) in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) Software-defined radios Embedded wireless systems Interworking issues in heterogeneous wireless networks Mathematical modeling and optimization for wireless protocols

• Ming-Hao Kuo from my lab received Best Student Paper Award of  2011 National Symposium on Telecommunications.
  
  
• My paper ''A delay-bounded relaying diversity scheme in digital cooperative wireless networks'' receives the Best Papaer Award of IEEE WCNC'10 MAC Track.

• Our lab have recently purchased wireless sensor development kit based on Crossbow Technology, the leading company in the field of sensor technology. We will be using these equipmements to develop and implement various cuting edge technologies over sensor nodes. Students who are interested in sensor technology and its applications can contact us for potential participation in indutrial and academic research projects.

• A few sets of  ``Software-Defined Radios'' are available in our lab and will be used for implementing our innovative ideas in the area of wireless communications and networking.
