To support the quality of teaching, research, and learning, NCKU library reserves numerous collections from a variety of fields. The library currently contains around 1 million books and nearly 40,000 of e-books; cover 34,636 electronic journals and more than 2,200 titles of Chinese as well English periodicals; hundred thousands of bound periodicals and audio/visual materials. Those collections will increase each year in order to raise both the quality and quantity of our collections.

In addition to that, the NCKU Library has been designated as one of the official repositories of government publications and it maintains agreements to exchange publications with over 2,000 academic and research institutions in over 60 countries.

The main library is located in Cheng-Kung campus, and is open from 8:20 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. everyday except for public holidays. The medical library is located in Chien-Kuo campus, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
