Message from VSA President The Vietnamese Students Association
(VSA) is a young, non-profit organization at the National Cheng Kung
University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. This association was established
in December, 2006 and with 38 Vietnamese students who are currently
studying at NCKU. With the financial support from various
sources, the help of international students from NCKU, Vietnamese
students in other universities in Taiwan, and the cooperation of all
Vietnamese students in NCKU, our first festival named “Vietnam
Culture Day” was held successfully on March 23rd, 2007. The
festival created a really impressive, meaningful, vivid and lively
image of Vietnam for international and local friends. Due to the success of Vietnamese Culture
Day, we have now decided to organize a second Vietnamese festival
with a large-scale event named “Vietnam Cultural Week”
with the goal of tightening the friendship between Vietnamese students
and international friends, and most importantly, the desire to promote
our culture and to create opportunities to exchange culture with Taiwanese
and international friends. Because we are a very young and non-profit
organization, we need all the financial and spirit supports from the
individuals, organizations who are interested in Vietnam. We would
really appreciate the sponsors who supported us in Vietnam Culture
Day and continue kindly to help us in this Vietnam Cultural
Week and in the future. We express our especial thanks to
new sponsors who show their interest in Vietnam by their help to us
in this event. Finally, we are grateful to all Vietnamese, Taiwanese
and International friends who are studying, working and living in
Taiwan, your enthusiasm to give us a hand encourages us very much
to successfully organize the very meaningful events for us to cooperate
and mutually understand. Your support will enable us to carry out our ambition and play an important role in the success of Vietnam Cultural Week. We would like to express our deep gratitude and highly appreciate your kindness in advance. Sincerely yours, Pham Viet Cuong |
