Laboratory interests focus on enzyme mechanisms, protein structure-function relationships, and protein folding.
The long-term goals of the lab are to study the structures and mechanisms of matrix metalloproteinase, microperoxidases,
and the complexes of disintegrin/integrin, and interleukin enhancer binding factor/purine-rich DNA. The main tools are
biological spectroscopy (NMR, CD, and Fluorescence), peptide synthesis, protein expression, protein purification,
molecular modeling, molecular biology, and protein engineering.
